Located in Upper Hunza Gojal Gulmit Village is a historic mountain settlement that once served as the summer capital of the former Hunza State. Positioned along the ancient Silk Road the village is renowned for its traditional Wakhi culture scenic terraced orchards historic watchtowers and the famous Gulmit Museum. The museum houses a valuable collection of ancient Wakhi heritage items including centuries old household tools traditional musical instruments historic weapons handwoven textiles and royal Hunza artifacts.
