Situated nine kilometers north of Naran town at an altitude of 3224 meters above sea level in Kaghan Valley Mansehra District Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Lake Saiful Muluk is Pakistans most famous high altitude glacial lake. Surrounded by snow capped Himalayan ridges and framed by the majestic summit of Malika Parbat standing at 5290 meters the lake is world renowned for its crystal clear turquoise waters fairy tales and folklore written by Sufi poet Mian Muhammad Bakhsh.
