Situated in the heart of Deosai National Park at an astounding elevation of 4142 meters Sheosar Lake is one of the highest alpine lakes in Pakistan. Also known as Blind Lake due to its unique oval shape with no visible outlet stream the lake is surrounded by the vast rolling green plains of the Deosai plateau and vibrant summer wildflower carpets. On clear sunny days the calm turquoise waters reflect a dramatic view of the distant snowcovered Mount Nanga Parbat the ninth highest peak in the world.
